A tribute to W.A.MOZART: remote performance via LoLa system

Dal 16 al 20 ottobre la città di Trieste ospiterà ADASS XXVI, l’edizione 2016 della conferenza an-nuale internazionale dedicata agli “Astronomical Data Analysis Software and Systems”, organizzata quest’anno da INAF - Osservatorio Astronomico di Trieste.

Quale evento speciale d’intrattenimento, prodotto dal Conservatorio Giuseppe Tartini in collabora-zione con l’Accademia di Musica dell’Università di Lubiana, verrà presentato il concerto “A tribute to W.A.Mozart”, realizzato in remoto tramite il sistema di streaming A/V a bassa latenza LOLA (http://www.conts.it/art/lola-project).

Il programma prevede i concerti per pianoforte e orchestra di Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart KV 414 e KV 449, eseguiti dall’Orchestra sinfonica del Conservatorio Tartini diretta da Romolo Gessi, solisti Urban Stanič e Tim Jančar. I solisti suoneranno a Lubiana e la loro presenza virtuale verrà ricostruita e affiancata in tempo reale con perfetto sincronismo all’orchestra collocata fisica-mente a Trieste, grazie all’estrema velocità in streaming A/V assicurata dal sistema LOLA.

From next 16-20 October the city of Trieste will host ADASS XXVI, the 2016 edition of the annual international conference dedicated to “Astronomical Data Analysis Software and Systems”, organ-ised this year by “INAF - Osservatorio Astronomico di Trieste”.

As a special entertainment event, produced by Conservatorio Giuseppe Tartini in collaboration with the Ljubljana University Music Academy, the concert “A tribute to W.A.Mozart” will be presented and performed at distance via the A/V streaming system LOLA (http://www.conts.it/art/lola-project).

The program includes Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s concertos for piano and orchestra KV414 e KV 449, performed by the Conservatorio Tartini Symphony Orchestra conducted by Ro-molo Gessi, soloists Urban Stanič and Tim Jančar. The soloists will play in Ljubljana and their virtual presence will be re-built and placed in perfect synchronism side by side the “real” orchestra in Trieste, by means of the ultra fast streaming of the LOLA system.

The event is realised in collaboration with GARR and ARNES, the managers of the Italian and Slo-venian academic network services, and it is sponsored by the “Fondazione CRTrieste”.
