Teresa Trevisan si diploma presso il Conservatorio "G.Tartini" di Trieste col massimo dei voti, la lode e menzione speciale. Deve la sua formazione musicale a Maria Puxeddu, Luciano Gante ed Aquiles Delle Vigne, di cui è stata assistente all' Ecole Normale de Musique "Alfred Cortot" di Parigi.
Premiata in numerosi concorsi nazionali ed internazionali, tiene recitals in varie città italiane per importanti associazioni concertistiche ed all'estero (Bruxelles, Parigi-Salle Cortot, Skopje- Accademia di Musica, Bitola-Interfest, Rotterdam-Teatro Doelen, New-York-Paul Recital Hall della Juilliard School ed Istituto di Cultura Italiano, Washington Levine School of Music, Hartford University, Salisburgo-Wiener Saal, Ulan Bator-Teatro di Stato, Università di Oulu, Università Yasar di Smirne, Tirana, Sinagoga di Novi Sad, Boesendorfer Saal im Mozarthaus di Vienna, Conservatoire Royal de Mons...).
Il suo interesse per la musica da camera si consolida ai corsi dell'International Menuhin Academy di Gstaad e del Trio di Trieste a Duino. Inizia nel 1989 una brillante attività concertistica in duo pianistico con il fratello Filippo, presentando per l'etichetta Velut Luna, due incisioni discografiche prime assolute in Italia: l'opera omnia per due pianoforti e quattro mani di Rachmaninoff (1997) e i Concerti Brandeburghesi di Bach nella trascrizione a quattro mani di Max Reger, rivisti da Filippo Trevisan (2001), ottimamente recensite dalla critica. Il duo ha ottenuto nel 1998 il premio speciale per la Musica classica "Morét d'aur". Dal 2002 suona con il pianista Flavio Zaccaria , con il quale ha inciso recentemente per la Velut Luna un CD di musiche inedite di Max Reger. L'esecuzione della Suite op.16 di Reger è valsa al duo il conferimento della Menzione d'Onore alla 2006 Web Concert Hall Competition (USA).
Ha recentemente effettuato una tournée negli Stati Uniti con il violoncellista Luca Fiorentini, toccando le città di Washington e New York. Si dedica con passione all'attività didattica, intrapresa sin da giovanissima: molti tra i suoi allievi sono stati premiati in concorsi nazionali ed internazionali.
Tiene regolarmente masterclasses: tra le più recenti quella presso l'Università di Oulu in Finlandia, il Conservatorio di Rennes in Francia, il Conservatorio Superior de Musica "Manuel Massotti Littel" di Murcia in Spagna, la Lithuanian Music and Theatre Academy di Vilnius, il Conservatoire Royal di Mons, la Yasar University di Smirne, l'Accademia di Sofia, il CIT di Cork, il Konservatorium di Vienna. E' stata invitata quale docente alla Primavera Pianística 2009, 2010, 2011 e 2012 al Kasteel d' Ursel di Antwerpen, in Belgio.
Già titolare della cattedra di Pianoforte principale presso l'Istituto Musicale Pareggiato "G.Donizetti" di Bergamo e presso i Conservatori di Sassari e Udine, Teresa Trevisan è attualmente docente di Pianoforte presso il Conservatorio "G.Tartini" di Trieste, in qualità di vincitrice del concorso ministeriali per titoli ed esami.
Si occupa dell'organizzazione di eventi musicali: è stata direttore artistico della Stagione Musiche in Fortezza di Palmanova, sua città natale, ed é direttore artistico del Premio Pianistico Internazionale "Filippo Trevisan".

Biography
The Italian pianist Teresa Trevisan was born in Palmanova and graduated "cum laude" from the Trieste Music Conservatory Giuseppe Tartini. She started her piano studies with Maria Puxeddu going on to learn with Professor Luciano Gante at the Trieste Music Conservatory. Afterward she advanced her studies at the Ecole normale de Musique "Alfred Cortot" in Paris with Aquiles Delle Vigne, becoming then his assistant there.
Teresa Trevisan was awarded various recognitions at national and international competitions performing in numerous Italian cities (Venice,Rome,Padua,Milan,Gorizia, Udine) and abroad (Paris, Brussels, Skopje, Bitola, Rotterdam, New York, Hartford, Washington, Salzburg, Ulan Bator, Vilnius, Izmir, Tirana, Novi Sad, Boesendorfer Saal im Mozarthaus di Vienna...).
Keen on Chamber music, she attended the courses at the International Menhuin Academy of Gstaad and the International Academy of the Trio di Trieste in Duino.
Her performing debut as a piano duo with her brother Filippo was held in 1989 at the Bourg Madame Festival (France). The Rachmaninoff Opera omnia recording (for two pianos and four hands) and the Bach Brandenburg Concertos (arrangement for piano duet by Max Reger, revised by Filippo Trevisan for Velut Luna) received a great critical acclaim.
In 1998 the duo was awarded the "Morét d'aur" prize.
Since 2002 Teresa Trevisan has been playing with the pianist Flavio Zaccaria. Aiming to discover a repertoire of less well-known works,in 2005 they recorded a CD entirely devoted to unpublished works of Max Reger (2005 Velut luna).
The Duo Trevisan Zaccaria was awarded an Honorary Mention at the Web Concert Hall Competition 2006.
She recently performed with the Italian cellist Luca Fiorentini in the USA getting Washington and New York.
Keen on teaching, many of her students are winners of national and international competitions.
Teresa Trevisan is currently full time piano professor at the Music Conservatory after successfully participating in the last State National Competition.
She is regularly invited to give piano and piano-duo masterclasses. Among the most recent, the Oulu University in Finland (2007), the Conservatorio Superior de Musica" Manuel Massotti Littel" of Murcia in Spain (2008), the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre in Vilnius (2010), the Conservatoire Royal de Mons (2011-2012), the Yasar University of Izmir (Turkey 2011), the Academy of Sofia, the CIT of Cork, the Konservatorium of Wien and, through a videoconference in the frame of the LOLA project, at the Fort Worth Texas Christian University (USA). Since 2009 she has been teaching at the international courses of the Primavera Pianística held at the Kasteel d' Ursel of Antwerpen, in Belgium.
Since 1998 she has been the artistic director of the Festival Note d'autunno in fortezza of Palmanova. She was also the artistic director of the International Piano Competition "Filippo Trevisan".
